Farnham Back On Track

Since losing their 100% record to current league leaders Eastleigh three weeks ago, Farnham rugby club have got themselves back on course having secured three wins in a row, writes Alex Lambe.

This has included two consecutive league wins against Old Tiffinians and United Services Portsmouth respectively and a comprehensive win over Aylesford Bulls in the RFU Cup at the weekend.

Tricky conditions didn’t help Farnham in their RFU Cup game at Aylesford. But they battled through and ended up recording a very comfortable win.

Tries from Toby Salmon, Ben Jones, Dan Williams, Lennie Jennings and two from Jason Crabb ensured the visitors progress in the competition. A faultless kicking display from fly-half Salmon capped an impressive performance, considering running rugby wasn’t easy.

Farnham return to league action this weekend as they travel to Weybridge Vandals looking to extend their three game winning streak.

The visitors currently sit top of the table level on points with Eastleigh, and will be in confident mood they can get a result against a Vandals side that have endured a mixed start to the season.

The men from Weybridge have won four games whilst losing three and drawing one, which leaves them in sisxth place. With Farnham in the form they’re in they would be expected to win, but this won’t be an easy game for the men in black and white.
