Woking FC are currently in the relegation zone of the National League, in 22nd place, two points from safety. The Cardinals have only won three league games all season. Their last victory in the league was on the 17th September against Wrexham. They are yet to win a league game away from home this season.
The Cardinals have, though, have won two of their last three games in all competitions. They secured a 4-0 home victory against Walton Casuals in the Surrey Senior Cup on Tuesday.
Twenty-three-year-old midfielder Fabio Saraiva scored a hat-trick, while striker Delano Sam-Yorke was Woking’s other goal scorer. Saraiva is Woking’s top goal scorer in the National League with five goals.
On the 5th November, Woking beat Stockport County 4-2 away from home to progress to the second round of the FA Cup.
Last season, Maidstone United finished third in the National League South and subsequently gained promotion to the National League through the play-offs. ‘The Stones’, are currently 16th in the National League.
United have only won one of their last seven league games- a 2-1 home victory over Macclesfield Town on the 29th October. Maidstone have lost two of their last three home games but are seven points clear of the relegation zone. In their most recent outing, the hosts suffered a 2-0 away loss in an FA Cup first-round replay to Rochdale.
