Staines continued their good run of form in search of a play-off spot with victory against Worthing, as Dharma Bhagalia reports.
It was a good day for The Swans as the home side put four goals past a depleted Worthing side, who looked completely out of their depth from the first whistle.
Home-team manager, Johnson ‘Drax’ Hippolyte, started with the same line-up that managed to put four goals past AFC Sudbury just a week prior to today’s game and it paid off.
An unlikely partnership of Tommy Brewer and Afolabi Coker was proving to work wonders at the heart of defence for Staines.
Two quick-fire goals saw Staines go 2-0 up in the first nine minutes of play, thanks to strikes from Max Worsfold and Coker.
The game continued to be controlled by Staines for a majority of the first 45 minutes of play and just minutes into the second half, Mo Bettamer made it 3-0 to the home side.
Fast forward just 10 minutes and The Swans made it 4-0 thanks to a stunning goal from English starlet, Tom Collins.
The Swans climbed up into 12th in the Ryman League Premier Division, just seven points away from the play-offs.
